Joseph Martocci, 80, of Middletown, beloved life partner of Ann Frances Marino, died peacefully on January 5, 2025 after a long battle with chronic heart failure. Joe was born March 6, 1944 in Bronx, New York. He graduated from Ridgefield High School in Connecticut. He was predeceased by his parents, Vincent and Alicia (Guagenti) Martocci.

After Joe served in the U.S. Navy he began a career in the professional beauty industry, employed by United and Ace Beauty Supply, an industry leader. There Joe pursued his passion of bringing the concept of retailing and business systems to the Beauty Salon industry and was a pioneer in developing the Nexus Beauty line. As he often said, it was an exciting and fun time largely because he genuinely enjoyed what he was doing. Joe was the ultimate sales professional who trained many in the industry. After retirement, Joe was employed at Wesleyan University as Transportation Manager.

He is survived by the love of his life, Ann Frances Marino, daughter, Christina and granddaughter Kaylie Martin, brother, Vincent Martin and his wife Diane, loving cousin, Jane DeGeorge, niece, Amanda Gosselin Simard and her husband Chad Simard and their children; Lexi, Alden, Scarlett and Kash, as well as many additional friends and family members. Joe was predeceased by his nephew, Myles Gosselin and his favorite fur baby, Rocco.

Joe loved the golden age of the NY Yankees, playing golf with friends, boating, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, shooting sports, classic cars, his Jeep, salt water fishing and going to Florida. He was proud of his Italian heritage. Joe was a member of the American Legion, Sons of Italy and the NRA. He enjoyed being with his family and was always ready to help someone in need. His laughter and fellowship will be sadly missed.

Joe was a spiritual man who took comfort in regularly reading his Bible. He was joyful in saying he was “…moving on to be with my savior, Jesus Christ;” he appreciated the life he was given and those he loved.

Thank you for the care and support Joe received at St. Francis Hospital Cardiac Unit 10-9 and the Cardiac Heart Failure Clinic, Palliative Care and Westfield Fire Department.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Joe's memory may be made to the Westfield Fire District Station, 653 East St., Middletown, CT 06457 or to the American Heart Association, (www.heart.org).
