Joseph J. Fiorente

Joseph J. Fiorente, 65, of Southington passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday January 3, 2012. He had been the loving husband of Barbara (Gelinas) Fiorente for 38 years.

Born in Bristol on September 4, 1946 to Joseph Fiorente and the late Pasquelena 'Lena' (Valerio) Fiorente, he had been a longtime Southington resident.

Joseph was a teacher at Southington High School for 37 and 1/2 years.

In addition to his wife Barbara and his father Joseph, he is survived by 2 daughters: Robyn Errickson and her husband Michael of Newington and Monika Fiorente-Belo and her husband Jack of Plantsville; 2 grandchildren: Rachel Errickson and Matthew Errickson; his brother Peter Fiorente and his wife Evelyn of Bristol; his sister Mary Ellen O'Neil and her husband Timothy of Bristol and 3 nieces. He was predeceased by his son Todd Joseph Fiorente.

Funeral services will be held on Friday January 6, 2012 at 10:00am from the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St.,(Rte.10) Plantsville with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am at St. Thomas Church, 99 Bristol St., Southington. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery, Southington.
