John A. Nieckarz

John “Johnny” A. Nieckarz, 62, of Southington, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 27, 2025 at the HOCC at New Britain.

Johnny was born on July 16, 1962 in New Britain to the late Stanley J. and Sophie (Dawidzionek) Nieckarz.

He graduated from Southington High School, Class of 1980 and worked in commercial plumbing and landscaping for most of his life. Johnny loved mountain biking, snowboarding with his boys, gardening and Hilton Head vacations. He was a longtime active member of the Southington Jaycees Club where he was bestowed their highest honor, the Senator Award. Johnny’s greatest joy was being “Dad” and “Grandpa JaJa.” He will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.

John is survived by two sons, Adam Nieckarz of Burlington and Logan Nieckarz and fiancé Beth of Harwinton and two cherished grandchildren, Blaise and Saige. He is also survived by two sisters, Lynne Cayer and her husband Edward of Myrtle Beach, SC and Alison Savino and her husband Lenny of Bristol, his former wife and friend, Lauren Kratzert of Burlington and cousins, nieces and nephews, including Nick and Colin Savino.
