Joan Wellington

Joan (Hamilton)Wellington, 81, of Southington died Thursday Jan. 26, 2012 at Bristol Hospital. She was the wife of the late Albert Arnott Wellington for 62 years.

Born April 26, 1930 in Sherman Mills, Maine to the late Raymond and Edith May (Joy) Hamilton, she had been a Southington resident since 1953.

She is survived by her son Stephen Wellington and his wife Janet of Southington; three daughters: Beverly Hoyt and her husband Al of Southington; Anita Furrow and her husband Norman of Plantsville and Aline Standish of Southington; her sister Colleen Brewer of Delmar, NY and her brother Dean Hamilton of Plymouth, CT; seven grandchildren: Michelle and Albert Furrow, Joey Standish and his wife Nicole, Jay Standish and his wife Sakura, Matt DeLilla, Kyle Wellington and Brian Wellington and his wife Kate and three great-grandchildren, Breanna and Brandon Riollano and Myla Standish. In addition to her husband, she was pre-deceased by her son Albert Wellington, her sister Donna Lane and her great-granddaughter Nicole Quinn Riollano.
