Jenny Colon

Jenny Colon, 47, of New Britain, CT, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, December 28, 2024 after a long illness.

Jenny was born on November 7, 1977 in Brooklyn, NY to Ramon Colon and the late Luz Maria Thillet Colon. 

Jenny worked as the manager of the Friendship Center in New Britain. Although her time with us has been way too short, she wants her family and friends to remember that she lived a passionate life. Jenny was the life of the party. She liked to have fun and enjoyed playing bingo. She also believed in the healing power of music. Jenny loved animals and she loved her family. 

In addition to her father, Jenny is survived by her loving husband, Marvin Rodriguez of New Britain, two sons, David Heredia and Jaheim Cousin and one grandson, David Heredia, Jr. She is also survived by her brother, Ramon Colon Jr., two sisters, Maria Sola and Maria “Nancy” Colon, many nieces and nephews and her faithful dogs, Haze, Sky and Storm. 

A funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, January 3, 2025 at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
