Jeannette Pernal

Jeannette (Erazmus) Pernal, 85, of Southington, passed away on Friday Oct. 23, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife of Walter T. Pernal for 65 years.

Born June 6, 1930 in Meriden, to the late Frank and Mary (Dziurgot) Erazmus, she had been a longtime Southington resident.

Jeannette worked as a paraprofessional at the former North Center School, where she touched many young lives. She was a longtime member of Immaculate Conception Church.

In addition to her husband Walter, Jeannette is survived by her son John Pernal and his wife Maritza of Southington, her four daughters: Karen Bass of Mansfield; Mary Ann Norman and her husband Dennis of Eastford; Patricia Ortiz and her husband Fernando of Newington and Laura Catarino and her husband George of Colchester. She is also survived by her brother Charles Erazmus of Meriden. Jeannette also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Main St., Plantsville with a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at the Immaculate Conception Church, 130 Summer St., Southington. Burial will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Southington.
