Jean A. Beharry

Jean "Jerry" (Tully) Beharry, 82, of the Plantsville section of Southington, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday November 1, 2015 at her home. She had been the loving wife of the late John R. Beharry for 50 years.

Born February 21, 1933 in Southington, to the late Francis and Anna (Mariano) Tully, she had been a Plantsville resident for 52 years.

Jean proudly served her country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. She was a longtime parishioner of Mary Our Queen Church.

Jean is survived by her daughter, Adrianne Whiteside and her husband Charles of Southington and her four sons: Richard J. Beharry of FL; Michael J. Beharry of Southington; Joseph P. Beharry and his wife Heidi Gervais of Bristol and John F. Beharry of Plantsville. She also leaves behind six grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren, two sisters Flossie Kiewra of Southington and Patty LaPore of Cheshire; three brothers: Franny Tully and his wife Patty; Dicky Tully and Billy Tully, all of Southington; her sister-in-law, Phyllis Tully of Cheshire and several loving cousins, nieces and nephews. Jean was predeceased by her brother Jack Tully, her sister Kathleen Tully, her brother-in-law Joe Kiewra and two sisters-in-law, Karen Tully and Olive Tully and her loving pet Ebony.

Jean's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Hartford Healthcare Hospice and to her special niece Laurie for their kindness and compassion.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, November 6, 2015 from the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville with a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Mary Our Queen Church, 248 Savage St., Southington. Burial with full military honors will follow in South End Cemetery, Southington. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2015 from 4 - 7 p.m. at the Plantsville Funeral Home.
