Jayne Darling

Jayne (LeHerissier) Darling, 76, of Southington, passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, July 31, 2023. She was the loving wife of the late Christopher P. Darling for 47 years.

Jayne was born on March 26, 1947 in Meriden to the late John and Mary (Ryan) LeHerissier. She worked as a Registered Nurse for many years, ultimately retiring in 2010.  Jayne loved helping people and found great fulfillment in the time she spent volunteering with Hospice Care services, through Hartford HealthCare at Home. Jayne was also a longtime member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Southington.

Jayne was the fiercely loving mother to her two daughters, Alisa Darling of Southington and Erin Darling of Terryville.  She was the welcoming mother-in-law and grandmother to Craig Carr and his children Samantha, Nate, and Colby.  She is also survived by her nephew, Christopher Eno with his wife Sylvana, of Meriden, niece Wendy Sturmer with her husband Richard, of East Hampton, and nephew, Mark Donahue of Portland, Oregon, as well as several great-nieces and great-nephews.  In addition to her parents and husband Christopher, Jayne was predeceased by her sister Nancy Eno and niece Daune Oliveira.

A memorial service will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at Zion Lutheran Church, 531 Woodruff St., Southington. Burial will follow in South End Cemetery, Southington.
