James J. Dumsar

James J. Dumsar, 57, of Southington, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at the HOCC at New Britain. He was the loving husband of Raymond Desrochers for 20 years.

James was born on January 6, 1968 in Presque Isle, ME to the late George and Jodi (Mader) Dumsar. He graduated from Simsbury High School, Class of 1987 and worked as a deli supervisor at Stop and Shop in Newington until 2011. Jim will be remembered as a loving husband and father with a great goofy sense of humor. He enjoyed sports, especially rooting for the NY Mets and the NY Giants, and playing soccer with his son in his younger years. Jim also enjoyed computer games and Facebooking.

In addition to his husband Raymond, Jim is survived by his son Jay Dumsar of E. Windsor and the mother of his son, Deborah LaMay and her husband Vinnie of E. Windsor. In addition to his parents, Jim was predeceased by his brother, Michael Dumsar.
