Jacqueline Martins

Jacqueline (Letrun) Martins, 89, of New Britain, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 28, 2021 as a result from complications of COVID-19.

Jacqueline was born on December 20, 1931 in Paris, France to the late Henri and Mirielle (Boehm) Letrun and moved to the United States in 1950s.

She worked at Pack-Rite, Inc. in Newington for many years where she made lots of friends. Jackie lived with a sentiment of Joie de Vivre and loved to have a great time with good food and drink. She was happiest surrounded by her family and friends.

Jacqueline is survived by her longtime companion, Patrick Lamb of New Britain, two daughters, Patricia Melfort of New Britain and Maria Vaccaro and her husband Tom of Southington, one granddaughter, Frankie Carlton and one great-granddaughter, Theresa. She is also survived by her brother Jacques Letrun of France, many nieces and nephews and her loving extended family, Stella, Odette and Frank Martins. Jacqueline was predeceased by her daughter, Linda Giordano and former husband, Francisco T. Martins.

Donations in Jacqueline’s memory may be made to a local animal rescue of the donor's choice.
