Jacob D. Meynell, 33, of Southington, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 18, 2016 at his home.

Jacob was born on May 14, 1982 in Meriden, CT. He was a Wilcox Technical High School graduate, Class of 2000 and worked as a machinist at Southwick and Meister. He loved concerts, conventions, paintball and playing softball and golf.

Jacob is survived by his father, David Meynell and stepmother Linda of Plantsville and his mother, Kim (Campbell) Mitchum and her husband Larry of Clover, SC; his brother, David Meynell and his wife Alyssa of Wolcott and their children Talon and Mavis and his brother, Aaron Meynell and his wife Diana and their children, Nekhima and Scott. He is also survived by his brothers; Christopher, Nicholas, Patrick and Timothy, his sisters, Katie, Emily and Becca and his best friends, Chris Geraci and Dan Rock.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jacob's memory may be made to Special Olympics 2666 State Street Suite 1, Hamden, CT 06517 or to Relay for Life, 825 Brook St, I-91 Tech Ctr., Rocky Hill, Connecticut 06067.

Calling hours will held on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 from 5-7 p.m. at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville with a 7 p.m. Celebration of Life at the funeral home.
