Ida (Salmoiraghi) Tomcak, 91, of Southington, passed away peacefully on Monday November 7, 2011 at the Summit of Plantsville. She had been the loving wife of the late Frank J. Tomcak.

Born in New Britain on February 19, 1920 to the late Agostino and Livia (Marieni) Salmoiraghi, she had been a lifelong Southington resident.

She was a longtime parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church.

Ida is survived by her son Frank Tomcak and wife Robin of Plainville; 6 grandchildren: Frank, Rose, Jeffrey, Danielle, Jamie and Adrien; 5 great-grandchildren: Christina, Sophia, Alexandria, John, and AJ, and one on the way; her brother Orest Salmoiraghi of Plainville, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her 2 sons: Jack and Jim Tomcak; 3 brothers: Edward, Joseph, Louis and 2 sisters: Inez and Amelia.

Funeral services will be held on Friday November 11, 2011 at 9am from the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville, with a Funeral Mass at 10am at the Immaculate Conception Church, 130 Summer St., Southington. Burial will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Southington.
