Hildred Renn

Hildred (Brayfield) Renn, 86, formerly of Dale Dr. in the Plantsville section of Southington died Tues. Jan. 26, 2010 at Woodlake at Tolland. She was the wife of the late Arthur Renn.

Born in Southington on Jan. 11, 1924 to the late Julius and Johanna (Hoff) Brayfield she had been a lifelong Southington resident.

Before retiring Mrs. Renn worked as a secretary for the Southington Board of Education. She had been a longtime organist at the First Lutheran Church and Zion Lutheran Church both in Southington.

She is survived by her son Phillip Renn and his wife Janet of Ashford, CT.; her daughter Agnes Renn Hill of Corvallis, OR.; one brother Robert Brayfield of Tallahassee, Florida; three grandchildren: Sarah Renn Haeryfar, Stephen Renn and his wife Cari and Lindsey Hill and her partner Jason Valdez and two great-grandchildren; Nadia Haeryfar and Koen Valdez. She was pre-deceased by four brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be held Friday Jan. 29, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the First Lutheran Church, 232 Bristol St., Southington. Burial will immediately follow in South End Cemetery, Southington. There are no calling hours.

Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville is handling the arrangements.
