Helen A. (Kloczko) Turek, 93, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2016 after a brief illness. A lifelong resident of Southington, Helen was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Franklyn "Artie" Turek, her parents Bronislaw and Mary (Kasparewicz) Kloczko, her brother, Chester Kloczko and 3 sisters, Mary DiNello, Wanda Kloczko and Eleanor Kloczko.
Helen is survived by her children: John B. Turek and wife Caroline; Diane Sesko and husband Stephen; Linda Magrath and husband Douglas and Leslie Griffin and husband Alan. She also leaves behind her grandchildren: Amanda Burris and husband Michael; Douglas Magrath, Jr. and wife Josephine; Daniel Sesko; Jeffrey Sesko and wife Eleanor; David Sesko; Elliott Turek and fiancé©e Michelle Thornhill; Austin Turek and 9 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Edward Klocko, sister-in-law Mary Kloczko and many nieces and nephews.
Married in 1946, Helen and Artie owned and operated a convenience store in Yonkers, NY. They moved back to Southington where they established Artie's Restaurant, retiring in 1986. In her retirement, Helen enjoyed cooking, sewing, reading and spending time with family and friends. She was loved by all who knew her and she loved them in return.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at the Immaculate Conception Church, 130 Summer St., Plantsville. Burial will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Southington. Calling hours will be held before the Mass from 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville.
