Helen Jacques

Helen Jacques, age 87, of Southington passed away peacefully on October 20, 2012. She was the beloved mother of Paulette and Lawrence. She was under the care of The Franciscan Home and Hospice Care in Meriden and then The CT Hospice in Branford, CT a licensed agency that believes in the dignity and sacredness of human life. They were a blessing during her final days in her fight against cancer.

Helen was an active member of the Life Long Learning Association and a strong advocate for community colleges. She was also active at her senior community center, Calendar House, and a volunteer at Southington Hospital.

She is survived by her daughter Paulette, her son Lawrence, daughter-in law, Marguerite, special niece Judi Diorio, numerous nieces, nephews, their spouses and children and her many friends. We will all miss her deeply.

She was predeceased by her brothers: Thadeas, Walter, Edward, and sisters: Katherine Otfinowski and Bernice Sienkiewicz.

Visiting hours are respectfully omitted at her request. There was a blessing held at the small chapel at St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Meriden for immediate family. Her ashes were buried at the site of her mother, Rose and father, Frank Kokoszka.
