Harry E. Fager Sr

Harry E. Fager Sr., 88, of Plantsville, passed away Wednesday June 2, 2010 at HCC at New Britain General. He was the loving husband of Alice 'Alcea'(Dillon) Fager for 58 years.

Born February 15, 1922 in Naugatuck to the late Harry and Loretta (Nixon) Fager, he had been a long-time Plantsville resident.

Harry served our country in the USMC for 20 years and retired as a Master Sergeant. After his military service, he worked for 25 years at Pratt and Whitney Aircraft in Quality Control before his retirement. He will be remembered as an avid photographer with his very own darkroom, and for his love of model airplane building.

In addition to his wife Alice 'Alcea,' he is survived by his 2 sons; Harry Fager Jr. of Sarasota, FL and Jack Fager of Plantsville, his daughter Terry Piegon and her husband Tom also of Plantsville, and 5 grandchildren; Mallory, Abbey, Betheny, Mitchell, and Michael.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 7, 2010 at 9am from the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St. Plantsville with a mass at 10am at St. Aloysious, 254 Burritt St., Plantsville. Burial with full military honors will follow in St. James Cemetery, Cross St, Naugatuck. Calling hours will be Sunday, June 6 from 4 ' 7pm at the funeral home.
