Gerald David Talbot, 65, of Plainville and formerly of Plantsville, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday November 25, 2014 at Connecticut Hospice Care in Branford.
Born on July 25, 1949 in Fall River, MA to the late Henry R. and Claire V. (Lapierre) Talbot, he had been a longtime Southington resident before moving to Plainville.
He was passionate about his work as a truck driver for many years at F & F Concrete. He loved his job and the people he worked with were like family. Gerald loved playing music especially with his brothers and friends. He will be remembered for his dedication to family, friends and his dog, Tucker.
Jerry is survived by 4 siblings, Michael H. Talbot and Linda Crandall of Wallingford; Jacqueline Barber and her husband Larry of Jupiter, FL; H. Richard Talbot Jr. and Lynne Schmidt of Plantsville and Mary Beth Butcher and her husband Jerry of Plantsville and 3 nephews: Aaron Talbot, Daniel Barber and Thomas Butcher and one great-nephew, Mark Talbot.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday December 1, 2014 from the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville with a 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Aloysius Church, 254 Burritt St., Plantsville. Burial with full military honors will follow in the State Veterans Cemetery, Middletown, CT. Calling hours will be held from 3 - 6 p.m. on Sunday November 30, 2014, at the Plantsville Funeral Home.
