Genesio R. Masucci

Genesio R. Masucci, 94, of Litchfield and formerly of Southington, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 30, 2022.

Gino was born on August 27, 1928, in Italy to the late Giovan Giuseppe and Elisabetta (Bove) Masucci, before moving to the United States in 1951.

Gino is survived by his sons, John Masucci and his wife Nancy of Southington and Gino Masucci of Thomaston, his longtime companion Jacqueline Tedesco and her son Joe of Litchfield, his grandchildren, Melanie Edman and her husband Scot, Corey Masucci and his wife Kristen, Gino Masucci and Sarah O’Neill and her husband Jim, great-grandchildren, Mia, Colby, Olivia, and Sophia, his brother, Vincent Masucci and his wife Lena of Orange, his daughter-in-law, Joyce Benoit and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Gino was predeceased by his son, Frank Masucci, his daughter-in-law, Katherine Masucci, his brothers, Vegerio, Olindo and Joseph, his sisters, Irma Masucci and Maria Cesarini.

A memorial service will be held at 11a.m. on Monday, January 9, 2023, at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St, Plantsville. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery, Southington.
