Gary L. Pierpont

Gary L. Pierpont, 61, of Southington, passed away unexpectedly on Monday January 20, 2014. He had been the loving husband of Susan (Dehnel) Pierpont for 23 years.

Born in Waterbury on August 26, 1952, to the late Clarence and Barbara (Bishop) Pierpont, he had been a longtime Southington resident.

Gary was a lifelong student of the Bible, earning his Master's Degree in Biblical Studies. He taught in private Christian schools, Sunday school and Seminary. Gary enjoyed history and loved sharing his knowledge with family and friends.

In addition to his wife Susan, he is survived by his siblings: David Pierpont of Gloucester, VA; Sharon Pierpont of Prospect, Robert Pierpont of Wolcott and Sandra Perugini of Tarpon Springs, FL and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Gary's memory may be made to the Gary Pierpont Memorial Missions Fund, Bible Baptist Church, 40 Country Squire Rd. Cromwell, CT 06416.

A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Friday January 24, 2014 at the Plantsville Congregational Church, 109 Church St., Plantsville. Burial will be held privately.
