Gail Hall Scott, 77, born on June 29, 1944 in Waterbury, CT to the late Gerald L. and Ruth (Dunne) Hall, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on October 26, 2021, after a courageous battle with breast cancer.
Gail recently moved back to Connecticut, where she was born, to spend time with her family and was staying with her daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Lee.
Gail lived in Saint Cloud, FL for 19 years near her sister and brother-in-law, Vanessa and Al Ferreira, her brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Barbara Hall, her sister Peggy Smeriglio and her late husband Brian Smeriglio and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Carol Gracy.
Gail also leaves her sister, Susan Hall of CT; two daughters, Tammy Michaelson of Southington, CT and Melissa Hill of Goshen, IN; 5 grandchildren, Jamey, Nicholas, Nicole, Jessica and Erika and 10 great-grandchildren; Jade, Justin, Ashlynn, Kevin, Luka, Emmy, Zachary, Jacob, Evan and Christopher.
Gail enjoyed spending time with her family and friends including Pat and Elona of Palm Bay, FL. She loved to travel to new places but she especially loved Europe. Gail loved music and dancing and often could be found dancing the night away with her friends. She also enjoyed cooking for family and friends. She was a passionate and talented decorator and loved decorating her home and helping others decorate.
Gail’s family would like to thank her sister and brother-in-law, Vanessa and Al, and her nieces, Tanya and Karrie, for always being there for her while she lived in Florida.
They would also like to extend a special thanks to the Carole and Ray Neag Comprehensive Cancer Center at UCONN, the nurses, visiting nurses and aides from Masonicare and Hartford Healthcare who’s care and compassion are greatly appreciated.
