Freida Emily (Miller) Pacyna, 92, of Plantsville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday Dec. 5, 2012 at the HCC at Bradley Memorial. She was the loving wife of the late John J. Pacyna.

Freida was a parishioner of the Immaculate Conception Church. She was a strong and generous woman- a role model and inspiration for her entire family. There were many recipients of her home baked Christmas cookies, fruit cakes, and beautiful knitted baby sweaters. She enjoyed playing cribbage and could still kick butt.
Freida is survived by her 6 children: Paula Pacyna of Plantsville; Sandy Danko and husband Rich of Plantsville; Joe Pacyna and wife Cheryl of Bloomfield; Bruce Pacyna of Deerfield, MA; Karen and Steve Shookus of Newington; Debbie Joraskie and husband Ron of Southington; 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 3 brothers: Gus, Fred and Otto Miller and 2 sisters, Alma Story and Elsie McCormick.
