Freida Ouellette, 89, of Southington, wife of the late Philip Ouellette, entered into eternal rest surrounded by her family at her daughter's home on August 21, 2010.
Freida was born in Perth/Andover, New Brunswick, Canada on March 31, 1921 to the late Archie and Emily (Clavette) Deabay.
After moving to Plainville, CT in 1953 from Biddeford, ME, she worked for many years at Bristol Spring Mfg. She later moved to Southington where she resided for 44 years. Upon her retirement, she did housework in Southington where she met wonderful people. Freida was a member of Immaculate Conception Church. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, reading, taking walks and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her 4 children: Clayton Ouellette of Southington/Zepherhills, FL; Ruth Boulanger of Knife River, MN; Anita Scaringe and her husband Victor of Plantsville, CT; and Glenda Bergeron and her husband Normand of North Port, FL.
She leaves behind her brother, David Deabay of Winchester, VA and 2 sisters; Celia Morse of Fort Fairfield, ME and Isabel Howard of Mineral, VA. She was predeceased by one brother, Omar Deabay, formerly of Maine.
Freida also leaves behind 9 grandchildren: Eugene, Lionel, and Perley Boulanger; Darlene (Scaringe) Belanger, Stephen Scaringe, Denise (Scaringe) Dietrich and Michael Scaringe; Allen and Robert Bergeron, and 6 great-grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects in remembrance of Freida on Sunday August 22, 2010 from 4-6pm at Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St. Plantsville, CT. Funeral services will be held starting from the funeral home at 10am with a Mass at 11am at Immaculate Conception Church, 130 Summer St., Southington. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery, Southington.
