Frederick E. Till

Frederick E. Till, 79 of Plantsville, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, October 30, 2023 at the HOCC, New Britain Campus. He was the husband and best friend of Soledad Llerena.

Fred was born on May 22, 1944 in Springfield, MA to the late Arthur Sr. and Emma Barnes.

Fred proudly served his country in the United States Navy aboard the USS Yancey. Prior to his retirement, Fred was the Transportation Director for the Hartford Board of Education. His passion for driving and transportation included trucking cross-country. Fred loved spending time by the ocean, a round of golf with his buddies and Nerf gun battles with his family. As a self-proclaimed rollercoaster enthusiast, Fred loved the thrilling excitement and sense of adventure each ride provided.

Fred is survived by his children; Teresa Augustus-Silas(Kenneth) of Texas, Richard Till(Marina Theofilou) of Plantsville, Zoe Till of Meriden,  Daniel Llerena of Plantsville, grandchildren; Paris, Peyton, Josh, and Adam. In addition, Fred also leaves Jamie and Joshua Finkelstein and their children Emily and Zachary of Plainville, whom he loved as his own.
