Evelyn D. Peryam

Evelyn D. (Abetz) Peryam, age 87, formerly of Southington, entered into eternal rest on September 14, 2013 at Walnut Hill Care Center in New Britain, CT. Born November 15, 1925 in Southington, CT to the late Edward and Dorothy (Anderson) Abetz, she had been a longtime Southington resident.

Evelyn worked at Bradley Memorial Hospital as a nurse for 22 years. She was a caregiver to the Abetz family for her mother, her grandmother, her Aunt Gladys and her Uncle Al. When Evelyn needed help, her cousin Betty Ledoux was there for her.

She is survived by her brother Edward Abetz and wife Nicole of Largo, FL and her sister Lorraine Judd of St. Petersburg, FL. She was predeceased by her daughter Joy Peryam Cappolino and her 3 sisters; Betty Jane, Doris and Gayle.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Evelyn's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., 7th fl., New York, NY 10001.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday September 19, 2013 at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville. Burial will follow in Quinnipiac Cemetery, Southington.
