Elizabeth (Teasdale) Crosle

Elizabeth (Teasdale) Crosle, 99, of Howard Ave., Southington, passed away peacefully on Tuesday Nov. 8, 2011 at the HCC at Bradley Memorial.

She was born on April 2, 1912 in Philadelphia, PA, the 4th of 6 children born to the late Robert and Elizabeth (Brennan) Teasdale. She was a loving wife and mother and she cherished her 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Elizabeth was an avid fan of the Yankees and UConn Women's basketball. Her favorite times in life were the holidays when her house would be filled with her loving family. She also enjoyed spending time with her cat, Stammy.

Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Charles. She leaves a daughter, Joanne Garnett; a son Robert Crosle and his wife Sharon; grandchildren: Denise McClellan and her husband Michael; Melissa LaMontagne, Ronald Garnett; Brian Crosle and Rebekah Masse and her husband Ben; great-grandchildren: Marissa Kerns, Kenneth Kerns III, Megan LaMontagne, and Skye-Lin LaMontagne. She is also survived by her sister Helen Nyhus and her husband Raymond of Cherry Hill, NJ; a nephew Raymond Nyhus and his wife Maura, and their children, Richard and Andrew.

Family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday Nov. 12, 2011 at 9:30a.m. at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St, Plantsville, with a funeral service beginning at 10:30am. Burial will immediately follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Southington. Elizabeth's family would like to send a special thank you to Dr. Glaser and the staffs at The Summit and HCC at Bradley Memorial for all their care and support. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory may be sent to the Boston Children's Hospital, Department of Cardiology, 300 Longwood Ave., Boston, MA 02115 or a charity of your choice. FUNERAL SERVICES
