Edwin D. Rawling, III

Edwin D. Rawling III, 63, of Southington, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, June 2, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Susan for over 32 years.

Ed was predeceased by his parents, Edwin D. Rawling II and Ruthanne LoRusso.

After 42 years as a dedicated employee, he retired from Light Metals Coloring Company in Southington. Ed had many interests, from his love of lions to his love of the horror genre to his love of sports. He especially enjoyed UConn men’s and women’s basketball, the Boston Red Sox, the Green Bay Packers, and Stephen King novels.

In addition to his wife Sue, Ed is survived by his daughter Sheila Rawling, son Nick Rawling (all of Southington), stepson Bill Morris and his wife Jen of Southbury, grandson Shawn Morris of Norwalk, sister Veronica Rawling of Meriden, several aunts, uncles, cousins, and in-laws.

A private Celebration of Life will be held by the family at a later date.
