Dorothy Peterson

Dorothy "Dottie"(Novick) Peterson, 82, of Southington passed away peacefully on Wednesday Oct. 24, 2012. She was predeceased by her husband Russ Peterson.

Dottie was born on May 16, 1929 in Southington to the late Sophie and Theodore Novick. She is the last of six siblings from the Novick family who owned Novick's Orchard in Southington. This contributed to her life-long love of gardening. She was retired from Sherwood Tool and Canberra Industries.

She is survived by her two sons, Thomas Peterson of Southbury, CT and Eric Peterson and his wife Krestyna of Rochester, NY. She is also survived by her four grandchildren: Alexander, Jessica, Christopher, and Aidan Peterson. The family would like to extend a special thank you to her health advocate and very dear friend Denise Peterson.
