Doris Hubeny Telke

Doris Hubeny Telke, 93, of Southington, passed away peacefully at Southington Care Center on Tuesday, September 8, 2020. She was the loving wife of the late Walter Telke.

Doris was born on November 17, 1926 in Waterbury to the late Andrew and Veronica (Kobylarz) Hubeny.

Doris met the love of her life, Walter and married in 1947.  Together, they built a life in Southington and raised a family. Doris was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Her greatest love was her grandchildren; watching them grow up to become beautiful women, get married and have families of their own.

She is survived by her son Leland and his wife, Kristine Telke, her daughter Gretchen Telke-Hoerger and husband William Hoerger, two granddaughters, Kaitlin Telke-Lyver and husband Nathan and Katrina Woodward and husband Mark, and four great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by three sisters, Elinor Brunoli, Annette D’Agostino, and Veronica Bock, her godson, Jeffe Hubeny and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Walter, Doris was predeceased by her son, Konrad Telke and her brother, Andrew Hubeny.

Doris’ family would like to thank the entire staff at the Southington Care for their kindness and the excellent care.
