Doris S. Rosevear

Doris (Strickland) Rosevear, 90, formerly of Wolcott, passed away peacefully at Masonicare in Wallingford on Tuesday July 24, 2012. She had been the loving wife of the late William Henry Rosevear for 46 years.

She was born in Hartford on Oct. 31, 1921 to the late Seward and Marion (Jones) Strickland.

Most recently, Doris resided at Masonicare in Wallingford where she was an active volunteer especially as a member of the Eastern Star. She was a longtime member of the Mill Plain Union Church in Waterbury where she was the former lead soprano singer. Doris will be remembered for her love of singing.

She is survived by her 3 children: John Rosevear and wife Donna of Darien, CT; William Rosevear and wife Janice of Chester, VA and Jean Tabellione and husband Joe of Plantsville, CT; 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, her brother Wesley Strickland of South Windsor, CT and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Arthur, Robert, and Wallace Strickland.
