Donald W. Morris

Donald W. Morris, 74, of Southington died Feb. 2, 2011 at the Hospital of Central Connecticut at New Britain General.

Born January 6, 1937 in Waterbury, CT to the late Harry L. and Eunice (Bartlem) Morris, he had been a Southington resident since 1965.

Mr. Morris co-owned and operated CVC Lawn Care and Snow Plowing.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, William and Daphne Morris and his daughter and son-in-law Donna and Paul Mariani, all of Southington; five grandchildren: William Morris Jr., Jeremy Morris, Hope Morris, Ashley Morris and Kristina Mariani; two great-grandchildren and his friend Marsha Lee Gamba.

He was predeceased by his son, Carl Morris and his former wife, Delia Morris.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday Feb. 8, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville. Calling hours are one hour prior to the service from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, 850 Meriden Rd., Waterbury.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Donald may be made to the American Cancer Society, Centralized Memorial Processing Center, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
