Diane P. Augustine

Diane P. (Giancola) Augustine, 77, formerly of Southington, Terryville and Newington, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 25, 2021.

Diane was born on July 26, 1943 in Stamford to the late Harold and Elizabeth (Lord) Giancola, the couple’s only child.

Diane earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Western Connecticut State University where she worked as a teacher for many years, retiring as a director with the Urban League of Greater Hartford.

Diane dedicated her life to her two sons for whom she was very proud. Once retired, she enjoyed her second life with her companion; cruising the Caribbean, singing and dancing, and playing with her granddaughter. She will be remembered for the love she brought to people’s heart.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Diane’s memory may be made to the Geer Village Residents Association, 77 South Canaan Rd, Canaan, CT 06018.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January, 30, 2021 at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St, Plantsville. Burial will follow in South End Cemetery, Southington.
