Denise M. Boulanger

Denise M. (Delaney) Boulanger, 85, of the Plantsville section of Southington passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday March 27, 2013. She was the loving wife of Sherwood F. Boulanger for 60 years.

Born in Waterbury on March 28, 1927, to the late Dennis and Christine (Reilley) Delaney, she had been a longtime Plantsville resident.

Mrs. Boulanger was a longtime member of St. Aloysius Church and a member of the Ladies Guild. She graduated from Waterbury Catholic High School and went on to earn her Bachelor's Degree at St. Joseph's College, West Hartford. She was a dietitian and worked as a nursing instructor in the nutrition department at St. Mary's Hospital.

In addition to her husband Sherwood, Denise is survived by her 3 children: Gregory Boulanger and his wife Elizabeth; Sharon Leone and her husband Robert and Christine Cyganik. She also leaves behind 6 grandchildren: Jason Boulanger; Sarah Williams and her husband Jerome; Katherine Tron and her husband Jesse; Melissa Cyganik; Brian Cyganik; Danna Leone and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Margaret Delaney and her son-in-law Richard Cyganik.

Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. on Tuesday April 2, 2013 from the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St. Plantsville, with a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian burial at St. Aloysius Church, 254 Burritt St., Plantsville. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery, Southington.
