Delann Angelone

Delann "Dee" L. (Wiggins) Angelone, 65, of Southington passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday August 19, 2012 at St. Mary's Hospital. She had been the loving wife of Ted Angelone for 38 years.

Born December 13, 1946 in Raton, New Mexico to the late Delmar and Ann (Jacobson) Wiggins, she had been a Plantsville resident for 35 years.

Dee worked as a second grade teacher in Wolcott for 35 years at Tyrrell and Alcott Schools. She was a longtime member of the Wolcott Congregational Church where she was a former President of the Ladies Aid Organization as well as a deacon and a member of the choir. Dee loved music, singing, and crocheting. She made beautiful creations such as scarves and jewelry and will be remembered for her strength, kindness and love for her family.

In addition to her husband Ted, she is survived by her 2 daughters, Genny Angelone and Becky Angelone and her beautiful granddaughter DeAnna, all of Plantsville. She is also survived by her cousin who she loved like a brother, Carl Swanson; her cousin Barbara Orr of Denver, CO and her cousin John Swanson of Utah.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday August 23, 2012 at the Wolcott Congregational Church, 185 Center St., Wolcott, CT. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery, Wolcott. Calling hours will be held from 4 - 7 p.m. on Wednesday August 22, 2012 at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville.
