Debora J. Olsen

Debora J. (Bokanoski) Olsen, 64, of Southington, passed away after a short illness on Thursday, December 19, 2024. She was the longtime companion of the late Douglas F. Woitowitz for 31 years. 

Debora was born on November 1, 1960 in New Haven to Alice (McDonnell) Bokanoski and the late Bernard Bokanoski. She graduated from Southington High School, Class of 1978. 

Debora was an avid fan of NASCAR, Tony Stewart and the Kansas City Chiefs. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her grandkids. 

In addition to her mother Alice, Debora is survived by five sons, Chris Olsen Jr. of Southington; David Olsen and his wife Sheri of Southington; Kenneth Olsen and his wife Amanda of Port Charlotte, FL; Sgt. First Class Sean Olsen and his wife Samantha of Ludowici, GA; and Kyle Riera, also of Southington and 5 cherished grandchildren, Grace, Blade, Riley, Jaxson and Hailey. She is also survived by four siblings, John Bokanoski and his wife Lori of Bristol, Bernard Bokanoski Jr. and his wife Grace of AZ, Bart Bokanoski and wife Jamie of Naugatuck and Teresa Dumond and her husband Mike of Harwinton and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, New Britain.
