David J. Williams, devoted husband and father, died Sunday July 4, 2010 at his home in Wolcott at the age of 49 after a long battle with cancer. For 26 years he was the loving husband of Lori (Stanton) Williams. David was born in Waterbury, CT on September 19, 1960 to the late Aubrey and C. Mildred (Rosa) Williams.
He attended St. Lucy's Catholic School, Kaynor Technical School, and Waterbury State Technical College. He was presently employed at NEC America as a field service engineer and previously owned Coming Attractions in Southington and Burlington, CT.
David was an assistant coach for Wolcott Athletic Basketball. He and his wife Lori attended all the games and sports activities as their children were growing up. Dave was never too busy to lend a helping hand to those who needed him. If you called, he was there. He and his wife Lori welcomed the friends of their children into their home and he cherished all these times with family and friends.
In addition to his wife Lori, he leaves his 2 sons; Jason T. Williams and Ian S. Williams and Jessica Langley, Jason's longtime girlfriend.
Dave and Lori recently celebrated with their children their 26 years of marriage by renewing their vows on their Florida vacation. He fought very hard to be here to see Jason graduate from Sacred Heart University and Ian attend Eastern CT State University in Willimantic. He was their Superman and never gave up on life.
He also leaves behind his brother, Richard Williams and wife Linda of Pennsylvania and 2 sisters; Donna Oakes of Wolcott and Debbie Lerose of Waterbury, along with all of his special and loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
