David R. O'Hala, 50, longtime Southington resident, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday Dec. 18, 2015 at Hartford Hospital after a courageous battle with liver disease. He had been the loving husband of Allison (Scarfo) O'Hala.
Born in Southington on July 22, 1965 to Joseph J. O'Hala Jr. and the late Mildred (Zukowski) O'Hala, he had been a lifelong Southington resident until recently moving to Plainville.
Dave was a very avid Jets fan. He was a great athlete and was active in Southington sports leagues. He was a member of the Falcon Nest 307. Dave loved his wife and family and his beloved cat Garfield.
In addition to his wife Allison, he is survived by his father Joseph J. O'Hala Jr. of Southington; 2 sisters; Catherine Tichow and her husband Andrew of AL and Peggy Thomas and her husband Brad of VT; 2 brothers; Joseph O'Hala and his wife Kimberly of Southington and Matthew O'Hala and his wife Susan of MA; his father and mother in-law; Philip and Carol Scarfo of Southington; three brothers-in-law, Kurt Scarfo and David Scarfo, both of Southington and Philip Scarfo of FL. He also leaves behind many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
