Darryl D. DeSorbo, 58, of Southington, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 15, 2023. He was a loving husband, father and best friend to his wife Constance (Malizia) DeSorbo and his daughter, Megan DeSorbo.
Darryl was born on October 1, 1964 in Southington to the late John and Helen (Pernal) DeSorbo. He graduated from Southington High School, Class of 1982 and was the owner and operator of DeSorbo Landscape Construction for over 25 years.
Darryl was a friend to everyone and would give the shirt off his back to anyone who needed it. He lived every day to the fullest and especially enjoyed golfing and fishing. Family and friends were the most important part of his life. He loved trips to the casino and cruising with his wife and daughter and cherished their family vacations to Myrtle Beach. Darryl will be missed deeply by his family and many friends.
In addition to his wife Connie and daughter Megan, Darryl is survived by his brother, John F. DeSorbo and wife Donna of New Hampshire, brother and sister-in-law, Alan and Mary Provencal of Southington, sister-in-law, Toni-Marie Landino of Plantsville, brother and sister-in-law, Dominick and Cheryl Malizia of Meriden, Dean Landino, Jimmy Palumbo and girlfriend Janine, all of Southington and his niece and nephews, Gina Provencal, Joseph Landino and Louis Landino. He is also survived by his aunts and uncles, Dolores and Joseph LaPorte, Donald and Jan DeSorbo and Molly DeSorbo, all of Southington, as well as many cousins. In addition to his parents, Darryl was predeceased by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Anthony and Dolores Malizia.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Darryl’s memory may be made to the Megan DeSorbo Special Needs Fund, c/o Liberty Bank, 60 N. Main St., Southington, CT 06489.
Darryl’s family would like to thank the Plantsville Funeral Home family for their support and guidance through these difficult times.
A funeral service will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville.
