Cynthia Kowalczyk

Cynthia Kowalczyk, 54, of Southington passed away peacefully on Thursday Oct. 11, 2012 at the Summit of Plantsville.

Born October 6, 1958 in Southington to Marie (Tomkiewicz) Kowalczyk and the late Stephen Kowalczyk, she had been a longtime Southington resident before moving to Bristol.

Cynthia worked at Light Metals Factory for many years and was a longtime member of the Holy Trinity Church. She was an avid fan of Chubby Checker and his music. The kindess Chubby showed her in the last two years will never be forgotton.

In addition to her mother Marie, she is survived by her aunt Ann Butkevich of Oakville, her special cousin Carol Milo and her husband Jerry of Southington, her close friend Pat Macey of Southington and many cousins.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:15 a.m. on Monday Oct. 15, 2012 at the Holy Trinity National Catholic Church, 200 Summer St. Plantsville. Burial will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Southington. Calling hours will be held before the service from 9 - 10 a.m at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville.
