Cynthia "Cindy" J. Kulas

Cynthia “Cindy” J. Kulas, 64, of New Britain, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 6, 2025. 

Cindy was born on September 20, 1960 in New Britain to Patricia (Remsen) Kulas and the late Steven D. Kulas Sr. She graduated from Southington High School, Class of 1978 and worked at The Hartford before retiring in 2010. After her retirement, Cindy was the receptionist at the Summitt at Plantsville where she made many lasting friendships. She was currently working at Stop and Shop in Southington. Cindy loved taking trips to New Hampshire and Georgia. She also enjoyed hiking with friends and going to the casino. Most importantly, Cindy valued the importance of family and was very close with her mom and sisters. 

In addition to her mother Pat, Cindy is survived by two sisters, Chris Kulas of New Britain and Aileen Mannings and her husband Mark of Georgia, two nephews, David Kulas of New Britain and Christopher Mannings of Georgia and her dearest friend, Joseph Russo of Southington. In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her brother, Steven D. Kulas Jr. 

Cindy’s family would like to thank all of the doctors and nurses, especially Dr. Matthew Jaffa, from the Neurology ICU at Hartford Hospital for their compassion and the excellent care they provided. 

Calling hours will be held from 3 – 5 p.m. with a prayer service at 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. For online condolences, please visit www.plantsvillefuneralhome.com.
