Connie C. Proll

Constance C. Proll, 82, of Southington, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 21, 2023.

She was born Concetta Maria Ciarcia on October 27, 1940 in New Britain to the late Paul and Josephine (Rizza) Ciarcia. Connie was a strong and independent woman who was not afraid to speak her mind.

Connie was a Certified Financial Planner and had a successful career as a Financial Advisor for IDS/American Express Financial Advisor/Ameriprise. Prior to that she was a sales executive for Nixon Industries. Connie was the founder of Central CT Women’s Forum and was a member of the Southington Republican Town Committee, where she previously served previously on the Planning and Zoning Commission. She also served on the Town’s Senior Committee and was a member of the Barnes Museum. Connie loved art, cats and new technology. She was also a member of St. Thomas Church, where she worshiped.

Constance is survived by her daughter, Tracy Proll (Jonathan Block) and her granddaughter, Madison N. Block, both of Southington. She is also survived by her brother, Neil Ciarcia (Joan) and her nephew, Jeff Ciarcia, both of Rocky Hill.

A celebration of Connie’s life will be held from 5 - 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 24, 2023, at the Southington Elks Club, 114 Main St., Southington. Plantsville Funeral Home has been entrusted with handling the arrangements. For online condolences, please visit www.plantsvillefuneralhome.com.
