Colleen D. Keith

Colleen D. (Baumberger) Keith, 61, of Southington, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, August 27, 2023 at HOCC New Britain Campus. She was the loving wife of Robert B. Keith for 43 years.

Colleen was born on January 24, 1962 in New Britain to Carl Baumberger and the late Ruthann (Kinch) Baumberger.

Colleen earned her degree in Nursing from St. Mary’s Hospital.  She worked at New Britain General Hospital for 23 years and then at Newington Eye Surgery Center for the last 17 years.  Colleen lived her life with passion. She loved playing tennis, working in her beautiful flower gardens, going to the beach and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys. Colleen was the heartbeat of her family, always taking care of everyone. She especially loved being “Nana” to her cherished grandchildren.

In addition to her husband Robert and father Carl, Colleen is survived by one son, Robbie Keith and wife Kara of Conway, SC and one daughter, Nicole Keith and husband David Samulenas of Southington and 6 grandchildren; Alyx, Ryker and Carter Jennings and Tanner, Colbie and Lainey Keith. She is also survived by one sister, Kimberly Raczkowski and husband Thomas of Conway, SC, two nephews, Matthew and Jonathan Lewis, aunt and godmother, Diane Goodrich of Southington, and uncle and godfather, James Kinch and wife Deanna of Plainville.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2023 from 5 - 7 p.m. with a memorial tribute at 7 p.m. at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville.
