Chester "Butch" W. Zawisza Jr., 68, owner of CZ's Auto Upholstery in Southington, passed away on Monday Oct. 22, 2012 at the HCC at Bradley Memorial. He had been the loving husband of Molly (Shea) Zawisza for 35 years.
Born November 24, 1943 in New Britain, to Angela (Gwara) Zawisza and the late Chester Walter Zawisza Sr., he had been a lifelong Southington resident.
In addition to his wife Molly and his mother Angela, he is survived by his children: Joseph Zawisza and wife Karen of Newington; Robert Zawisza and wife Hope of Winsted; Chad Zawisza and wife Jamie of Chester and Tara Satkowski and husband Tim of Westfield, MA and 7 grandchildren: Joseph, Michael, Zachary, Dylan, Colton, Mia and Jake. He is also survived by his sister Emily Indomenico of Southington, his dog Skiddles and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his sister Barbara Zawisza.
For over 51 years, Butch developed his skills as an upholstery craftsman. He started CZ's Auto Upholstery in 1984 and owned and operated it for the next 28 years. He will be remembered for his love of cooking, the enjoyment he received in feeding people and for his generosity and willingness to help anyone in need.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday Oct. 25, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. from the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church,130 Summer St., Southington. Burial will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Southington.
