Catherine Mary Stankoski

Catherine Stankoski, 52, of Plainville, passed away at her home on Tuesday, June 20, 2017.

Born in Bristol on December 5, 1964, she was the daughter of Joseph and Barbara (Fraser) Stankoski of Southington.  A graduate of Southington High School, Catherine earned a degree from Central Connecticut State University, and worked for the State of Connecticut  before becoming self employed.

Affectionately known as Cass to those that loved her most,   her warm beautiful smile, silly personality, and contagious laughter made her easy to be around and special to her family and friends.  Cass loved her family, her fiancé, Mike, and her cat, Isabella, and shared with them some of her many favorite pastimes,  including quiet walks, go-carting, motorcycles, traveling and ice cream.  A fighter who overcame many of life’s struggles, she will be forever remembered and admired for her quiet strength. 

In addition to her parents, she leaves her sister, Liz Ali; her brothers, Joseph Sterling and his wife, Jeanette and Mike Sterling; her nieces and nephews, Alexandria, Ramsey, Jessenia, Juliana, Ava, Amilee, and Asa; and her fiancé, Mike Kalisz.

Honoring Catherine’s wishes, her family will celebrate her life privately.  Plantsville Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
