Carol D. Scott

Carol (Davies) Scott, 64, of the Plantsville section of Southington, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at Autumn Lake in New Britain. She was the loving wife of the late Edwin C. Scott III for 32 years.

Carol was born in Detroit, Michigan on August 17, 1960 and adopted by John Harmon and Margaret (Chase) Davies. 

She graduated from Conard High School in West Hartford and worked at AAA Roadside Assistance, retiring after 30 years of service. Carol loved all animals, including cats, bunnies, horses and especially dogs, sharing her home with many shelties and collies over the years. She also enjoyed listening to music and reading was one of her favorite pastimes. 

Carol is survived by two daughters, Jacquelyn Hornish of South Windsor and Julie Scott and her fiancé Chris of Plantsville and her grandson, Finn Jackson. She is also survived by two sisters, Lynn Dooley (Jay) of Michigan and Suzen Light (Ted) of Bloomfield and her niece, Rachel Dooley (James) of Michigan. 

Carol’s family would like to thank the entire staff at Autumm Lake for their kindness and the wonderful care that they provided. They would also like to thank Carol’s dear friend, Patty, for the comfort that came from their wonderful friendship.
