Carol A. Badgley

 Carol A. (Osden) Badgley, 77, of Southington, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 12, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of the late Miles Badgley who predeceased her in 1996. 

Carol was born in Hartford, CT on October 25, 1946 to the late Raymond and Jennie (Nowotka) Osden. 

She attended Canton schools and retired from Cigna after over 20 years of service. Carol was a member of the Moose Club and the Polish Falcons Club in Southington. She enjoyed traveling, going to the casino and day trips down to the shore for a good seafood dinner. 

Carol is survived by two sons, Douglas Badgley and wife Janice and Brian Badgley and wife Jocelyn and two cherished grandsons, Landon and Christian, all of Plantsville. She is also survived by her brother, Donald Osden of Collinsville, sister-in-law, Cathy Osden of Burlington and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Miles and her parents, Carol was predeceased by her brother, Raymond Osden and sister, Betty Capen. 

Carol’s family would like to extend a special thank you to her cousin, Carol Henn, who provided wonderful care and support over the last few months; they are forever grateful.

A funeral service will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 17, 2024 at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Southington.
