Camille J. LeBel, 70, of Plainville, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at the HOCC at New Britain.
Camille was born in Drummond, New Brunswick, Canada, one of seven children, to the late Elude and Nora (Belanger) LeBel.
He proudly served in the US Navy, stationed at Diega Garcia, during the Vietnam War. Camille was gifted with strong hands that could build anything. He worked hard in different construction roles over the years and loved to drive when he got his CDL.
Camille enjoyed gardening and spending time with his beloved pups. Above all else, he was a loving husband and a devoted father, always actively involved in his daughter’s activities. Whether it be coaching their softball team or rooting them on from the sidelines; he was always there.
Camille is survived by his wife Paula J. (Mansfield) LeBel of Plainville, two daughters, Nicole Wodnicki and her husband Tom of Southington and their children, Kaylin and Brielle; daughter, Jenna Denorfia and her husband Matt of Southington and their children, Camden, Gianna and Makenna; stepdaughter, Paulette Teta of Plainville and her children, Jenessa, Nico, Zebella and Zen; stepson, Brian Whiteman and his wife Teri and their five children; stepson, Jason Lush and his wife Jayme of Torrington and their children, Jacob, Aily and Noah and stepson, David Lush and his wife Kim of Bristol and their children, Torin, Jude and Tahlia.
He is also survived by five siblings, Rino Lebel, Solange Kirouac and her husband Clairmont, Colombe Bradley, Carolle LeBel and Diane Butler and her husband Andrew and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Camille was predeceased by his brother, Guy LeBel.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 7, 2025 at Oak Hill Cemetery, Southington. Plantsville Funeral Home has been entrusted with handling the arrangements. For online condolences and directions, please visit www.plantsvillefuneralhome.com.
