Beatrice "Bi" Volpe

Beatrice “Bi” (Maddonna) Volpe, 81, of Southington passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at her home. She had been the loving wife of Attilio Volpe for 57 years.

Beatrice was born on April 16, 1940 in Italy to the late Michael and Elena (Denorfia) Maddonna. Bi was happiest cooking in her kitchen at home filled with her family.

In addition to her husband Attilio, Bi is survived by her twin sons, Michael Volpe and Guido Volpe and his wife Nancy, all of Southington; two granddaughters, Melissa Volpe and her fiancé Zack of Burlington and Christina Volpe and one great- granddaughter, Anna Maria. She is also survived by her two sisters in Italy, Anna and Luisa and many nieces and nephews in the US and Italy. She was predeceased by two brothers, Carmine and Franco.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 18, 2021 at Mary Our Queen Church, 248 Savage St, Plantsville. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery, Southington.
