Barbara (Nelson) Slodzinski

Barbara (Nelson) Slodzinski, 83, of Southington, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, November 9, 2015 at her home. She had been the loving wife of EQCM. Edward S. Slodzinski Sr. USN SEABEES Ret. for 62 years.

Born in Waterbury on February 28, 1932, to the late Arthur and Marion (Nolan) Nelson, she had been a lifelong Southington resident.

The Slodzinski family would like to thank Dr. Joseph Babiarz and the girls in the office for all of their help and support.

In addition to her husband Ed, she is survived by her daughter Elaine Gollnick and her husband Richard of Plantsville; her son Edward Slodzinski Jr. and his family; her brother Norman Nelson and his wife Mae of Southington; two grandsons, Jonathan and Jeremy Gollnick and her great-granddaughter Kayla, all of Plantsville, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter and son-in-law, Anne and Charlie Czerwinski; two brothers, Arthur and Richard and her sister Marie.
