Barbara J. Schott

Barbara (Jones) Schott, 95, longtime Meriden resident, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 28, 2020 at the Pines in Bristol. She was the devoted wife of the late Donald Schott.

Barbara was born in New Haven on May 22, 1925 to the late Raymond C. and Gladys (Eyre) Jones.

She worked in the jewelry department at Barkers Department Store in Meriden for many years. She enjoyed her annual trips to Florida and playing mini-golf.

Barbara was a loving mother and grandmother and is survived by her daughter, Linda Rinaldi and husband Anthony of Southington, two grandchildren, Bethany Feltham and husband Eric of Killingworth and Jamie Rinaldi and wife Emily Wade Rinaldi of Dedham, MA, three grandchildren, Abigail, Rose and Holly Feltham and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Edward Jones and sister, Leigh Greenbacker.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St, Plantsville. Calling hours will be held before the service from 10 – 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery, Meriden. Face masks are required at all times.
