Barbara R. Kelley

Barbara R. Kelley, 88 years young, passed away peacefully on Tuesday March 30, 2010 at the Alzheimer's Resource Center in Plantsville. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward C. Kelley and the loving mother of 3 daughters and one son; Janice Shea and her husband Patrick of Avon, Edward C. Kelley Jr. and wife Lin, Marcia DeLeon and Jean Middleton all of Marion. She lovingly leaves behind 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Barbara was born in VT to Frederick and Ruth Neumann, attended Northfield Mt. Herman School in MA and resided in Marion most of her life. She worked at New England Gear/Robbins & Meyers in Cheshire as a Purchasing Manager until the company moved to Ohio. She continued her employment at the Fletcher Terry Company in Farmington until her retirement.

In her younger years she was an avid tennis player, raised pedigree German Sheppard show dogs, collected antiques and enjoyed rock hunting. Later in life she loved to watch tennis and was a fan of the UCONN Girls' basketball team.

Barbara was caring, thoughtful and had a wonderful sense of humor. She gave so much to everyone and leaves us with so many memories to hold deeply. She will be in our hearts always and will be dearly missed.
